Swallows and Amazons

Eastgate Theatre and Arts Centre - Auditorium

When the Walker children, on holiday with their mother in the Lake District, are allowed to go sailing and camping alone for the first time they decide to become the Swallows, but have no idea what adventures lie in store. The intrepid Swallows gut fish for dinner, learn to swim in the icy lake, light campfires and fight for the right to call Wildcat Island their own when they meet the mighty Amazons and compete for supremacy on the lake. Midnight feasts, pirate battles, buried treasure, walking the plank, fireworks and daring escapes are all par for the course.
